Last year’s Juneteenth Jubilee @ Nay Aug Park
It’s in the Vault: A fundraiser.
What better way to show off our newest acquisition than by turning this iconic 1920’s bank vault in a really fun way to open up your wallet, unlock a security deposit box, support the BSPCAC and maybe win some cool prizes from local businesses.
How does it work?
After you click the link below, select a lockbox from the menu, choose your purchase price, confirm your order, and that’s it ! The fundraiser happens on June 19th - During our Juneteenth Block party, stop inside the BSPCAC and head for the vault. There, you will be greeted by one of fabulous volunteers, who will hand off your key. From there you find your box and unlock what is inside!
Juneteenth is the day Union Civil War troops brought Galveston Texas the news that the enslaved were now free people.
and Black Scranton Project Center for Arts & Culture is the location of this block party celebrating that independence day.
