NEPA’s First Directory of Black-Owned Businesses
The Black Business Directory was the very first project created by Founder Glynis Johns in 2018, laying the foundation for what would evolve into the Black Scranton Project. Recognizing a need for a comprehensive list of Black-owned businesses in Scranton and the surrounding areas, Glynis built this directory to spotlight and support local entrepreneurs. Though simple in design, it has significantly boosted the visibility and success of many of the region’s business owners. Everyone featured here is considered part of the BSP family, and we’re always eager to connect with new artists, business owners, musicians, and creatives.
