📽️ After the screening, Penguins players will join us for a discussion, sharing their reactions to the film and insights into the game today. This is a must-attend event for hockey fans, history buffs, and anyone interested in sports and racial equity.

About the Film: "Soul on Ice: Past, Present & Future"

This acclaimed documentary sheds light on the forgotten history of Black athletes in hockey, tracing their contributions from the 19th century to today’s NHL. Directed by Damon Kwame Mason, the film highlights trailblazers like Willie O’Ree, the first Black NHL player, while also following modern Black players fighting for representation in the sport.

Through rare archival footage, player interviews, and an eye-opening look at the struggles and triumphs of Black hockey players, Soul on Ice is an inspiring tribute to resilience, talent, and the love of the game.
